I strive to hold space, in this profession, for your goals, values, and intersecting identities that often do not get broached as much as they should in this field, while not shying away from my own. There is a certain intimacy, in experiencing moments of vulnerability with clients. A vulnerability which can often become internalized and a source of shame, in comparison to a strength that I will work to validate. This is a principle I strive to work by, to hold space for the uncomfortable truths that we hold as individuals existing in an inherently broken and outdated system.
In having the privilege of experiencing both sides of this relationship, I work from a collaborative place that decenters my experience, fosters strengths, and operates through boundaries and direct communication. Our sessions together will focus on authenticity, validation, and empathic challenging. We will sit in the difficult, uncomfortable, and sometimes, awkward moments together and I will continue to meet you where you are at and show up for you. I'm most interested in what is working for you and finding creative ways to expand on those tools vs. copy-paste therapy techniques. However, I draw from the above approaches/modalities.
